The Nice One has been surrounded by music from all over the world growing up and has always drawn influences from his Latino background as well as urban and pop genres in his music. The Maryland-raised producer/songwriter taught himself how to produce music at a young age, helping him create his music path as a producer and artist. While attending the University of Maryland, he worked with local artist DK aka Wayne Watts, which led him to his first independent publishing deal.
His production was featured in a "Stop the Violence Campaign" hosted by the University of Maryland Hospital, which played in 72 different broadcasting channels around the nation, including ABC and FOX. He took over the local scene, performing at various shows and venues around the DMV area. He then took his passion for the music industry and interned for both BET and Bad Boy Records, where he learned as much as he could and in turn went back to focusing on his own music business ventures.
He moved to Los Angeles, interned at APG (Artist Publishing Group), created his own record / publishing label, A.K.M.A. (Always Keeping Music Alive). Performed in a variety of venues such as Club Fais Do-Do, Station1640, CatchOne, Los Globos. Had the opportunity to produce a live song in a workshop during SXSW's first EDU online festival, which had students from all over the world tuning in. He's now working on his producer album / sound called Tropic Wav which is a mix of Afro-Beat, Reggaeton, R&B, and Dance. With his main influences coming from The Neptunes, Timbaland, Major Lazer to the current sounds all around the world, The Nice One is creating his own lane of music, ready for the world to hear his production.
